Speaking at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, Elie Wiesel and President Barack Obama underscored the importance of grassroots organizations in preventing genocide. This month, the US Government launched the Genocide Prevention Initiative aimed at increasing capacity to respond to genocide and threats of genocide in order to prevent world's worst crimes.
